Ian Davison — PGA of Canada Professional
Ian Davison is a PGA of Canada Professional and Academy Director at Ian Davison Performance Golf in Coquitlam.
His approach has developed through extensive coaching experience and years of studying the golf swing, including learning directly from Mac O'Grady.
Ian's strength is connecting how you move with what happens at impact — and explaining that relationship in a way you can understand and apply. TrackMan and video support the analysis; personal instruction helps you turn the findings into useful changes.
The aim is to identify the right priorities early, make your practice more productive and help you build improvement that lasts.
How Your Coaching Works
Understand Your Starting Point
Your Performance Evaluation begins with your game: the shots you struggle with, what you want to achieve and what you've already tried.
Using TrackMan and video, Ian assesses your movement, impact and ball-flight patterns. You'll explore relevant changes and leave with a clearer understanding of what needs attention first.
Performance Evaluation — $125Build the Changes
Following the evaluation, Ian will recommend a coaching plan suited to your goals, schedule and practice time.
Sessions build on your priorities. Through clear explanations, demonstrations and practical drills, you'll learn what to change, how it should feel and how to recognise when you're doing it effectively.
Practise With Purpose
You'll have specific work to focus on between sessions, with guidance on how to practise it.
The goal is to make each practice session useful and help you develop the understanding to recognise your own tendencies.
Review and Develop
As your swing develops, Ian reviews your progress through observation, measurement and feedback about your practice and play.
Your plan evolves with you, with the aim of improving strike, shot control and your ability to take those improvements onto the course.
Develop A Swing You Can Trust
Ian's Zero Adjustment Philosophy focuses on organising movement so fewer compensations are needed approaching impact.
Coaching helps you understand how your setup, pivot, sequence and club alignments work together, then develop those changes into a movement you can repeat with greater confidence.
Start by understanding your swing.
